DECOLAB invites you to step into an immersive, participatory series hosted by University College London that explores the hidden stories woven into the fabric of our public spaces.

From the alleyways of Chennai to the contested corners of Istanbul and into the emergent spaces of belonging in the UK, this event invites you to reimagine the city through the lenses of memory, displacement, resistance, and belonging. Engage in interactive storytelling, participatory art-making, and sensory reconstructions of spaces that no longer exist — or exist only in fragments.

This is not a conventional exhibition. It is a living archive, a collaborative exploration, and a call to re-map the city together.

This event is open to adults who are curious about the textures of everyday urban life, including artists, international students, designers, activists, and local community members seeking deeper engagement with place, identity, and urban transformation.

"The Fellowship offered me an invaluable and rare opportunity to conduct academic research in a leading institution during three years, which nowadays is nothing short of a luxury. I cannot emphasise enough how important this is for an early career scholar."
