Rovira i Virgili University, Spain
I am a Professor of Human Geography (Serra Hunter Senior Programme) at the Rovira i Virgili University, Spain. My work focuses on tourism and urban restructuring and pays particular attention to the short-term rental market, housing financialization, and the connections between tourism mobilities and gentrification. Before my current role, I was FCT Researcher at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon, and Marie Curie Fellow at the School of Geography, University of Leeds. At the moment, I’m the PI of the Housing-Wealth-Nexus project, funded by the Horizon Europe Program, and I’m among the top 2% of the world’s most cited academics in the field of geography, according to the World’s Top 2% Scientists List published by Stanford University.
