KU Leuven, Belgium
I am a Professor of Urban Studies at KU Leuven’s Public Governance Institute and the Director of the Leuven Urban Studies Institute (LUSI). I am also the Associate Director of the Globalization and World Cities (GaWC) research network and the special issues editor of Regional Studies. My main research interests are (1) the conceptualization, analysis, and governance of world city networks and (2) the emergence of polycentric urban regions. My research has been published in leading urban and regional studies journals, and I have co-authored the second edition of ‘World City Network: A Global Urban Analysis’ (2016, Routledge, with Peter Taylor, also available in Chinese).
